Radiology

We are happy to be able to provide digital xray to our equine clients. We regularly provide field X-ray services to our equine clients for lameness studies and for prepurchase exams. Please consider transporting the horse to the clinic work area when radiographs are needed, as the results will be more consistent, retakes can be done immediately and the owners can see the plates as they become available. Also bear in mind that many lamenesses are of soft tissue origin and these will not show on X-ray. Damage to tendons, ligaments and joints is common and may be very difficult to image. The veterinarian may recommend other imaging techniques such as ultrasound or a nuclear scan.
