We use a well equipped laboratory specializing in veterinary lab services to provide all lab testing services needed for our patients. The usual turn around time for blood tests such as thyroid and biochemistry is overnight. Through this lab referral service we also have histology performed on tumors and microbiology on large and small animal swabs to identify causative agents in infections. There are veterinary pathologists on staff to consult with us on complex cases and results.

Emergency Process
Emergency service is available 24 hours a day. Please call the office at (613) 257-3202 if you have an out of hours emergency and you will be directed to the veterinarian on call. Animals which require intensive care, surgery or are in life threatening situations may be referred to the Ottawa Veterinary Hospital at (613) 729-6139. All small animal emergencies after 11 pm are referred to the Ottawa Veterinary Hospital.
