Patient Monitoring

During general anesthesia, our patients are monitored closely by a registered animal health technician for heart rate, respiratory rate, capillary refill time and blood oxygen to minimize anesthetic risk to your pet. We hand recover our patients, paying special attention to brachycephalic (short nosed) breeds such as Pugs and Pekinese. Our patients are not returned to their cages unless they are awake and swallowing.
