We would like to welcome Dr. Valerie Lalonde to the Valley Veterinary Clinic team. After graduating from the University of Montreal in 2009, Dr. Lalonde completed a one year internship program at Ledgewood Equine Veterinary Clinic located near Rochester, NY. Her particular areas of interest are ophthalmology, behaviour and equine reproduction. While in vet school, Valerie traveled to Peru for 3 months to volunteer and work with local veterinarians with a variety of species (alpacas, sheep, horses, sea mammals and guinea pigs). After her internship, she worked for an equine only practice located in beautiful Muskoka. Wanting to be closer to family and friends, Valerie has relocated to the Ottawa Valley.  Valerie enjoys travelling, kayaking, mountain biking and all outdoor activities. Dr. Lalonde has a very caring and positive rapport with our Valley Vet dogs and cats and she looks forward to meeting our clients.

Emergency Process
Emergency service is available 24 hours a day. Please call the office at (613) 257-3202 if you have an out of hours emergency and you will be directed to the veterinarian on call. Animals which require intensive care, surgery or are in life threatening situations may be referred to the Ottawa Veterinary Hospital at (613) 729-6139. All small animal emergencies after 11 pm are referred to the Ottawa Veterinary Hospital.
