Wellness and Vaccination Programs
When your pet is presented to our veterinarians, whether for its annual check up or for a medical problem, it will receive a detailed general physical exam. The GPE (general physical exam) consists of detailed history taking and a thorough examination of your pet. The Doctor will advise you of current medical concerns (if any) such as dental disease, as well as ways to prevent future health problems. Vaccinations: The Veterinary profession is currently actively evaluating vaccine protocols in order to provide you and your pet with the best possible vaccination schedule to prevent disease, and to minimize the risk of over vaccination. Each pet will receive a GPE and you will be advised as to the best vaccine schedule for an animal of its age, lifestyle and health status. Rural and urban pets, young and old, and other animals with special requirements (showing, camping) will receive different vaccines. We keep up to date on current vaccination issues and will gladly answer any questions you might have.
