We are lucky in this area to have the services of many specialists available to us in Ottawa. Did you know there are travelling internal medicine specialists who will come to our clinic to ultrasound your pet and assist us in working up complex cases such as cancer and chronic bowel disease? We also refer when necessary to such specialists as a veterinary opthalmologist, dermatologist or orthopedic surgeon. Please ask us to get an estimate of cost for you when you need to take your pet to a specialist. It is always better to coordinate referrals through your regular veterinarian and we pride ourselves on referring whenever it is of benefit to our patients.
